Jump Desktop can be used to share the screen, but then again, it is a service that is primarily intended to access your own devices. Unfortunately, I think that Catalina has taken away user friendliness for remote screen sharing because of security reasons. No matter which solution is being used, it needs permissions on a system level to share the screen. And many users that need support might be overwhelmed to grant those permissions.
TeamViewer would be my next guess, but I installed that from the website and it downloaded version 9 for some reason both from Chrome and SafariI got version 14 on there by going straight to this page to download. It prompted me to open Accessibility settings and add TeamViewer there. After connection, it prompted me to add it to screen recording as well and launched the window for me.
Finally then it connected and allowed me access. So it worked, but it was even more steps than with Mojave.
Security is great, but Apple and these companies need to figure out a way that lopw level users can be protected and not go through all these hoops. Support for Catalina will be implemented in a future release, but we do not have an ETA on that yet. In some cases developers are no longer able to maintain code, and users have been reliant on Apple being a good and responsible community manager to maintain code support.
One of the biggest issues is the removal of support for bit based applications - historically a huge part of the macOS software portfolio. Many of these apps are still in active development and have been recoded to bit, but others have either moved on, died, or changed business model. That has left countless people high and dry with no affordable alternatives.

With the update to Catalina, these bit applications no longer work. The good news is that Microsoft does have bit versions available for macOS. For some that will be a convenience, for others such as small charitable organisations this will be an undue burden on finances. Update: I have lived to regret it. Apple would have considered just how critical macOS is to various digital minorities that rely on their Macs and MacBooks and it would have their backs.
Apple would realise that people use their iMacs and MacBook Pros in ways that are different to the current one true vision from Cupertino. Supporting customers means supporting them through the hard times as well as the good times.
